Not a box is a book where this rabbit has a box. The rabbit says that this isn't a box. It is imaginary things like the box is a rocket on one page and a racecar on another.

This is a VERY cute book! (: I liked it.

  • Pages:217

In this book, it is about two girls and one heart. There is a girl named Eagan. Eagan figure skates, she also competes.Eagan has a sassy mouth. The other main character is a girl named Amelia. Amelia has a bad heart and has to take medicine and is not expected to live much longer unless she has a heart transplant. Eagan falls during a skating competition and hits her head and dies. That gives Amelia a second chance at life. Amelia starts knowing things that she used to not know, having a sassy mouth, thinking about skating and she has been thinking about the color purple (Eagan's favorite color). Amelia wants to meet Eagan's family as soon as possible. While all this is going on, Eagan is in the in between place, having flashbacks of her life on Earth.

I loved this book a lot. I loved the ending. I felt like I was actually in the book during the last chapters. It is also a easy quick book to read.

The Future of Us by Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler

  • Title: The Future of Us
  • Author: Jay Asher and Carolyn Mackler
  • Publisher: Simon & Schuster Children's Books.
  • Pages: 356

I like The Future of Us.  The book is set in 1996.  Emma has just gotten her first computer and she puts a free America Online disk (which is the internet) into her computer with her best friend Josh watching.  When they load it, they find themselves on Facebook (facebook hasn't been discovered yet)  The book is about how their relationship changes as they look at their futures. They try to change their future by doing different things in the present. I loved this book. You should read it ASAP! (:

Thirteen Reasons Why by Jay Asher

Clay Jensen receives a package in the mail.not knowing what it is. He opens it to find cassette tapes, he doesn't understand, not knowing who sent them to him. There are thirteen tapes front and back. When he listens to them, he figures out they are the voice of Hannah Baker, his classmate, that died about two weeks earlier. He listens to them back to back and can't put them down. He listens to her last words. He realizes how the thirteen people affected her death.Through out some of the book, I thought when is this all going to link together? I started linking somethings, but the ending I was left hanging with. I wanted to know more in the end. Maybe I just didn't understand it. I read this book and I liked it, but it wasn't a favorite. It's on my mom's TBR list and we are going to discuss it after she reads it.

"You can't stop the Future. You can't rewind the past. The only way to learn the secret is to press play."

Isabelle’s(Isabelle is 13)  sister catches her throwing up her dinner one night and tattles to their mother, Isabelle finds herself spending every Wednesday evening at an eating disorder support group.  When Ashley Barnum, the most popular girl in Isabelle’s class, shows up at group one evening, Isabelle starts to think that maybe “perfect” isn’t so perfect after all. Isabelle starts to leave her friends in the lunch room to go sit with Ashley and all of Ashley’s friends. Isabelle starts spending a lot of time with Ashely. Isabelle’s dad has passed away and her mother is crying all the time. Her younger sister is so annoying to Isabelle. I enjoyed reading this book. I think teens can relate to it very easy. It is a must read!
